amen to that. at this point it is sad and frustrating seeing the constant coming back death spiral. detaching is the best i can do here now cause it seems the guy is so far gone it will be the bottom that gets him, nothing else. i can’t go down with him and no one would want me to either. but if he does come back destroyed i need to be ready to help. such a crazy program, especially in present day society.
The timeliness of this message is remarkable. I’m new to the realization that I have a problem, and just last night I was quite proud with myself at 15 days of sobriety. Today at a business lunch I forgot I had a problem and unsurprisingly fell back into my old ways. Time to reprioritize.
