Putting God First: Inspirational Acronyms from AA

A Couple of Great Acronyms

I am a great fan of acronyms.  So, the 12-step meeting this week was a gold mine.

One speaker gave me G.I.I.T., which is God Is In This.  He pronounced it ‘git’ which rhymes with ‘fit.’

And just when I thought it could not get any better, it did.

Because a second AA gave us another acronym, G.O. which is God Onboard.  This second acronym fits well with the first, if it is pronounced ‘git,’ to rhyme with fit.

Which is what the third contributor did when he said, “Now we have GIIT and GO, God Is In This and God Onboard, and if we run them together, “We are good from the GIIT GO.“

Get it?  We are good because God is in this, and we have God onboard.
